When Casey and Renee met in 2014 there was an instant spark. It ignited quickly as the two lifelong musicians bonded over their shared love for music. The chemistry was striking, and they began to construct the funky low-end bounce that has come to define their sound. In less than a year, they were performing their energetic back-to-back DJ sets together as Hybridphonic. Their live experience is where they let their hypnotic low end beats shine, mixing quickly in and out of dance floor fillers.
Both come from backgrounds steeped in classical training and a love for the dance floor. While they hadn’t yet met, they both discovered dance music at the height of the late 90’s rave explosion and began an intense journey of discovery on the dance floor.
When they met, they set off on a path to create an amalgamation of their diverse sonic histories. These elements unite in a hybrid that moves beyond their traditional training into the wildly weird and wonderful sounds of modern dance.
They’ve wasted no time building a catalog of twisted hip-shaking thumpers with releases on Late Night Munchies and One City Music Group, as well as their own OddSpot Records imprint, and an upcoming release on Artichokes are Yellow. it’s evident that their unique slant on house music is ready to dominate.
